MARTIN, Mary Teresa – 88, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Trenton and Kitchener, Ont., passed away September 10, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Mary Matilda (Abbott) Martin.
She was employed in the Gunshop during WWII and was then employed at several jobs in Kitchener.
After retirement, she volunteered at a nursing home before moving back to Trenton. She was a member of the former Christ the King Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by grandchildren: Tammy Ludwig and Alan Ludwig; sisters: Diane (Wally) Martell, New Glasgow; Veronica (Patton) O’Neill, New Glasgow; Shirley McMullen, Trenton; sister-in-law, Sharon Martin; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Shane Ludwig; sisters: Dolly MacDonald and Annie Dakens; brothers: Harvey, Garnet and Gerald.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. today, September 14 in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, followed by a graveside committal service in Christ the King Cemetery with Fr. Tom MacNeil officiating.
