TRENTON – The First United Church came crumbling down on Tuesday morning as parishioners watched from the sidelines. Verhagen Demolition was on hand with excavators to safely tear down the church. For the approximately 20 people watching the church come down, it was a time for remembrance but also for new beginnings as it will save the congregation a lot of money in heating costs. The church hall remains standing and will be where the parish conducts masses from now on. The minister, Wade Reppert noted that all of the artifacts from the church were saved including the bell which will be put up in the hall.
