NEW GLASGOW – Those looking for a brain teasing night of fun with friends while supporting a local cause should be sure to make their way to The Commune in New Glasgow for the upcoming Art at Night Trivia fundraiser.
Looking to expand its reach and the event, Art at Night is hosting its first fundraiser to support the annual event.
“Every year we strive to grow and we feel like we need more funding to do so,” said Ian Grant, one of the event co-ordinators.
Trivia was one of the first thoughts for a fundraiser for Grant as he is a trivia fan himself and has noticed similar events growing in popularity.
Proceeds from the fundraiser, which will take place November 24 at 8 p.m. and is asking for a $5 cover, will be going to help with many different aspects of putting on Art at Night.
Donations for the event will also be accepted at the fundraiser. Teams can look forward to prizes for winning teams.
“We’ve lost some sponsors over the years so we are looking to sort of make that up,” said Grant who notes that they are always looking for sponsors.
Anyone hoping to be a part of Art at Night by displaying art, no matter the type, can keep an eye out for submission calls in late December or early January on the event’s website, www.artatnight.ca or by checking their facebook and twitter accounts.
