NEW GLASGOW – A 41-year-old New Glasgow man has been charged by New Glasgow Regional Police with voyeurism.
The arrest was made on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at approximately 10:20 a.m. at a Westside Medical Centre after receiving a complaint about voyeurism.
Police say the incident happened in the staff washroom, where the suspect was video recording persons in situations where they had an expectation of privacy.
A press release from the police states: “After a nine-month long investigation, New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit wants to assure the general public that police at this time have identified all persons in these recordings.”
New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit with assistance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Technological Crime Unit and the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit continue to investigate.
The suspect has been released from custody with strict conditions and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on December 5.
