Gunning grabs three East Coast Music Award nominations

Pictou County’s own Dave Gunning has received three 2017 East Coast Music Awards nominations.

Gunning is nominated for: Folk Recording of the Year, Lift; Songwriter of the Year as well as Fans’ Choice Entertainer of the Year.

With a career spanning two decades, the folk-roots based singer/songwriter has earned multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards, a Juno nomination and a handful of East Coast Music Awards for his work.

Tom Swift was also nominated in the Folk Recording of the Year category for The Legend of Roy Black, his fourth solo album.  The album was mixed and mastered by Dave Gunning at Wee House of Music in Pictou.

There were plenty of other nominees from Pictou County and surrounding area and a lot of familiar faces from having played the Riverfront Jubilee.

The 2017 ECMAa run April 26 to 30 in Saint John, N.B.
