NEW GLASGOW- Pictou County REMO Coordinator John Davison is reminding residents of Pictou County to only travel if absolutely necessary and to use extreme caution as poor driving conditions continue during today’s blizzard.
“Conditions are worse than yesterday, so we want people to continue to be safe and to use good judgment,” says Davison.
“Please check road conditions before venturing out. Less traffic on roads helps emergency vehicles with quicker access and also enables smoother snowing clearing while most importantly keeping first responders focused on serious situations that require attention.”
Yesterday, the Pictou County Regional Emergency Measures Organization (REMO) advised the public to stay off the roads.
