NEW GLASGOW – Minor injuries were the result of a two-vehcile collision last week.
On Friday, February 17, at approximately 4 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police, along with the New Glasgow Fire Department and Emergency Health Services, responded to a 9-1-1 call about a two motor vehicle collision on East River Road New Glasgow across from the Aberdeen Hospital.
A 36-year-old female was driving a Chevrolet Malibu that was travelling northbound on East River Road where a 32-year old male, driving a Honda Civic, was making a left turn southbound from an adjacent business on East River Road when both vehicles collided.
The female driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries. The 11-year-old female passenger of the Chevrolet was not injured. The male driver and a 32-year-old female passenger of the Honda were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Both vehicles suffered substantial damage and had to be towed from the scene. East River Road between the areas Pine Street and Park Street was closed to traffic for approximately 35 minutes.
New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
