NEW GLASGOW – New Glasgow Recreation is offering a full slate of March Break activities.
This year’s March Break Camp, from March 13-17, for grades primary to six, will feature a theme a day that includes a Super Hero Mission, You’re a Star, Little Olympians, I Love Cooking and a Snow Day.
Emily Morton-Fraser with New Glasgow Recreation says the camp will have something to offer a wide variety of likes and interests. There is a partnership with the New Glasgow Library that also incorporates literacy, a visit to the Pictou County YMCA and other activities that will promote healthy eating, physical activity, teamwork and leadership skills.
“Our super awesome March Break Camp will provide a fun atmosphere that promotes friendship, inclusion and community spirit in a safe and welcoming environment,” adds Morton-Fraser.
New Glasgow Recreation is also offering a ski trip during March Break to Wentworth on March 16 for students in grades 9-12. The bus will leave the parking lot near the New Glasgow Farmers Market at 9 a.m., arriving to the ski hill at approximately 10 a.m. and departing from the ski hill at 4 p.m. Rentals are available.
There will also be a free swim offered at the Pictou County YMCA for all ages ages from 2 to 3 p.m. on March 15
