The Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental provider of social services in Canada, reaching 400 communities from coast to coast providing services, hope, and dignity to those who met with hard times. Our mission is “to meet human needs and be a transforming influence” in our community.

The Salvation Army of Pictou County-Westville Corps, Nova Scotia, began providing services over 130 years ago and continues to do so today.

Some of these services include; Family Services, Outreach Meals, Thrift Stores, Emergency Response and many programs that are linked directly to the needs of those within Pictou County and Northeastern Nova Scotia. We are proud to offer these services and have proven to be a vital resource in our community.

In order to assist us in providing these services, The Salvation Army manages a few key fundraising campaigns throughout the year; one of these being the Annual Red Shield Campaign in the spring.

Ccontact the Community Ministries coordinator Dion Durdle or Thrift Store co-ordinator Pearl Joyce at 695-3298 for tickets or to make a donation to the auction.. Tickets are $10 a person or $1 at the door.
