REDMOND, James Alexander — 77, passed away peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital on April 26, 2017. He was a resident of the Glen Haven Manor since February 2016. He was born in Sunridge on September 26, 1939 to Harry and Annabell (Morgan) Redmond. James worked at service stations in Pictou and Scotsburn until he retired, he then went on to helping sell many raffle draw tickets all over the county. He loved his old time dances and was known as “James Alexander the dance hall commander.” James also enjoyed playing cards as there were many games held at the Pictou Shell service station. He is survived by his daughter, Patti, Pictou; son, James, Calgary; brothers, Warren and Robert; sister, Beverly; brother-in-law, Ernie MacDonald and sister-in-law, Judy Redmond; also thanks to Mary Parker for being so good to Dad over the years. James was predeceased by sisters, Betty and Doris in infancy; brothers, Frank, Wilbert and Harry. There will be a public graveside service in Scotch Hill Cemetery at a later date.
