NEW GLASGOW — Organizers are getting ready to host the fourth annual East Coast Kitchen Party afternoon pub at the New Glasgow Academy.
The pub will run from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and it is sponsored by Pickles Pools and Spa.
Money raised goes toward the school’s music program, art program, Panther Pantry, home and school and mental health initiatives.
Mental health training for teachers last year was paired with the Sandbar Foundation through the Aberdeen Foundation, which was considered a novel option for the province.
Stacey Munroe and Tammy MacLaren are co-organizers for the event.
Entertainment includes Jason Bruchett, Jer Mombo, the Leah and Kyle Collective, Niki Venoit, the Kitchen Criminals and the Dirty Rocking Scoundrals.
Rocklin Parties have been retained to decorate the school’s gym to transform it into a festive place to encourage the fun atmosphere and fellowship.
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at Scotiabank in downtown New Glasgow. Tickets are also being sold for tables of eight and include a beverage ticket for each person.
Royal Bank employees are also showing up to work the event.
