Traffic disruptions during Johnny Miles Running Event

Motorists need to drive with extra caution this weekend while the Johnny Miles Running events are taking place in New Glasgow and Stellarton.

There will be changes in vehicle traffic flow  and all streets will be open to pedestrian traffic as usual during the running event.

On Saturday, June 16, Provost Street from George to MacLean streets will be closed to traffic from 6 p.m. until Sunday, June 17 at 6 p.m. On Sunday, June 17, Provost Street will remain closed from George to MacLean streets, The George Street Bridge will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. to ensure the safety of all runners.
The northbound lane from Canary Drive in New Glasgow to Bridge Avenue in Stellarton (Abercrombie Road, Stellarton Road and Foord Street) will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In Stellarton, Bridge Avenue will be closed with only southbound traffic allowed from 6:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Cameron Avenue, Terrace Heights Drive and Terrace Street in New Glasgow will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The Trans-Canada Highway Exit 24 eastbound ramp will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
There will be no vehicle access to the New Glasgow Marina on Sunday, June 17 between 6:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Glasgow Square Theatre Parking Lot on Sunday, June 17 is closed until 6 p.m.
Expect delays on June 17 between 6 a.m and 1 p.m.
