STELLARTON – The Northern Nova United 15-A boys’ soccer team continued an exceptional season on Monday by securing a place at the 2018 Soccer Nova Scotia provincial championship in Sackville to be played on Saturday and Sunday.

NNU advanced to the tournament with a 3-0 victory over Antigonish on Monday at the Sobey soccer complex in Stellarton to claim the Highland District title.

The team played its season between two leagues: the Highland District and Nova Scotia Soccer League. In their home league NNU won all six of their games.  The NNSL had tougher competition but NNU showed they could play with the best of them going 6-0-1 in seven games.

The NNU boys also took part in two tournaments: Ratomir and Bruce Wagner, bringing home silver medals both times.
