GARDEN OF EDEN – At approximately 5:50 p.m. on August 30, Pictou District RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter to a home in the Garden of Eden area. The caller later advised police that after breaking into the residence, the suspects left in a vehicle, and he was able to provide police with a vehicle description and licence plate number.
RCMP officers located the vehicle driving toward New Glasgow, stopped it, and arrested the man and woman inside.
A 25-year-old man from Truro faces charges of break and enter, possession of break-in tools and mischief. He was held in custody and appeared in Pictou Provincial Court today. He was remanded until September 4.
A 24-year-old woman from Truro faces charges of break and enter and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Court on October 24 to answer to the charge.
The investigation is ongoing.
