A pipeline break has been reported near Indian Cross Point in Pictou Landing this morning before 10 a.m.
“Bruce Chapman notifies me about the break,” said Andrea Paul, cheif of Pictou Landing First Nations. The site is about a half a kilometre from the road but not in the same site as the previous break.
Paul said she had visited the site Sunday after she was notified. As of yet Paul said there are no steps being taken by PLFN about the break.
“From what I see they are doing the remediation,” she said. “As of now the remediation is the priority.”
The Advocate has reached out to Northern Pulp but has not received comment as of yet.
