Search warrant conducted by street crime unit leads to multiple charges

On October 24th, 2018, the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Stellarton Police Service and New Glasgow Regional Police, conducted a stop of a motor vehicle on Foord Street, Stellarton, NS.  Subsequently, police arrested a 37-year-old male from New Glasgow and a 21-year-old male from Stellarton who were found in possession of cocaine.

 

As a result of continued investigation, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Forbes Street, New Glasgow, seizing cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin, cash, and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.

The 37-year-old male has been charged with trafficking cocaine and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He remains in police custody.

The 21-year-old male has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.  He has been released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
