ANTIGONISH – Well known Antigonish entrepreneur, Steve Smith and his wife, Kathy officially opened the doors of The Maples Supportive Living, a long-awaited option for seniors who may need assistance and support with the activities of daily living.

The hotel-like residence offers seniors an “all-inclusive” lifestyle that will provide meals in a restaurant-style setting, laundry services, cleaning, recreation & fitness, social activities, and even health care monitoring and transportation within the area. With 24/7, year-round staffing, this all-inclusive approach ensures a worry-free and safe environment for all residents.

The 100 unit residence features many common areas and amenities, including a classic dining room, fully-stocked library/computer lounge, a fitness centre, a chapel, a theatre, pub/games room, a golf simulator, outdoor patios, and
many walking paths.

An open house on Thursday and Friday will give the public its first view of the
addition to the local community.
