No injuries following two-vehicle collision

NEW GLASGOW – No one was injured on Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision that happened on East River Road.

New Glasgow Regional Police responded to the crash on Jan. 22 at approximately 12:10 p.m.

The collision involved a lone  57-year old male driving a 2018 Subaru Outback, travelling northbound on East River Road who collided with a  2008 Honda Civic, driven by a 29-year-old male who was travelling westbound out of a private road that led onto East River Road.

The incident took place by the private drive when both vehicles collided.

The drivers of the vehicles were not injured; both drivers were from Pictou County.

The 29-year old man was charged with:

·        No Insurance under the Motor Vehicle Act.

·        No Valid Drivers License under the Motor Vehicle Act.

·        Failing to Yield to the Right of Way under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Both vehicles suffered substantial damage and the Subaru had to be towed from the scene.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
