A new addition to the Pictou County grocery market is set to open its doors on February 15 of this year.
Whistleberry Market, just off Trans Canada Highway 104 in Greenhill, is getting ready for a soft opening next month.
The new market is preparing to offer up fresh produce, as well as local jams, honey and maple syrup — local products that owner Peter Zehr is currently working on sourcing.
The operators will also feature their own line of meats including their own frozen burgers for customers to take home as well as sausages and smoked meats. Hamburgers and sausages will be served on site as well as other take-out food. With the soft opening taking place in February, Zehr shared that he would like to have a grand opening in May once the weather is nice and they are settled in.
