WESTVILLE – The Westville Miners took home bronze medals last weekend at the annual SEDMHA minor hockey tournament in Cole Harbour.
The Miners, who are Midget C Highland Zone regular season champions, competed in a 23-team Maritime Division.
The Miners, in their sixth game in less than 72 hours, settled for bronze after a 4-3 shootout loss
to the eventual gold medal winner, the Cole Harbour Wolf Pack.
The Miners received their Highland Zone banner for placing first in the eight-team Highland Zone Midget C Hockey League with a record of 24-2-2. They received their banner from team mascot The Miner, Trent Cosh.
The Miners played a total of 51 games for the 2018-19 season and finished with an overall final record of 36-13-2.
