Military Museum extends thanks for support

Opinion

To the Editor:

The Pictou County Military Museum would like to thank those people who made or called to make donations toward the purchase of 2Lt. John Kennedy Campbell’s Memorial Cross recently featured in this newspaper.

2Lt. Campbell of Scotsburn was killed in action in July 1917 and he was one of the very few Canadian pilots flying for the Royal Flying Corps in WWI.

I would also like to thank The Advocate newspaper for its ongoing support of the museum in its efforts to remember the sacrifices of those who fought for Canada in past wars.

Thirdly, I want to thank Bev Morse of New Glasgow who professionally mounted the cross in a beautiful display. That display can be seen at the museum during weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the summer.

Through your combined efforts WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. Thank you all. BRAVO ZULU.
