Spring perennial sale

May 26

The New Glasgow and Area Highland Garden Club will be holding their spring perennial sale  at the New Glasgow Farmer's Market.  The sale starts in the morning (it is wise to get there early) and runs until all the perennials have been sold.  Members of the garden club pot up the perennial plants from their gardens as soon as they can work the soil.  The sun, watering the plants, and tender loving care provide good growing conditions for the plants…

Annual Plant/Bake sale

The Westville and Area Gardening Club will be hosting its ANNUAL PLANT AND BAKE SALE  in  the parking lot of the Holy Name Catholic Church. Selling begins at 9:00 am until sold out! There is a LARGE ASSORTMENT OF PLANTS. Proceeds to purchase plants for the Town  of Westville flower beds as well as a plaque for our sculpture in Acadia Park.

Fishing derby

The Annual Fishing Derby hosted by Blue Mountain & District Volunteer Fire department is being held June 2. The location is Garden of Eden Lake, registration located on Siding road in Eden Lake. This is a Nova Scotia Sport Fishing Weekend sanctioned event — fishing license is not necessary but standard regulations apply. This is our annual fund raising event and we welcome all participants.
