World Day of Prayer

March 3 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

World Day of Prayer  will be held this year at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow. The theme of the service is “Come, Everything is Ready” and is an ecumenical service written by Christian Women in Slovenia.   The event is organized by seven of the New Glasgow churches and the guest speaker will be the Rev. Donna Tourneur, minister of Trinity United Church, New Glasgow. Everyone is welcome.

Banquet and Silent Auction

Archway Counselling’s Banquet and Silent Auction is on March 7 at Glasgow Square. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. This is the 10th year of serving Pictou County. Dalhousie Mountain Hike

The Jubilee is hosting a St Paddy’s Day Party on March 16, 6-10 p.m. at Glasgow Square Theatre featuring local bands Andre Pettipas and the Giants with Kitchen Criminals, $20 at the door. This is a 19+ event. This event is a fundraiser for the New Glasgow Jubilee and will have a silent auction with lots of great prizes.

A St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser will be hosted by Earth ARC Animal Respite Centre at the Whitetail Pub, Westville, on Saturday, March 16th, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.. Cancer Support

The Pictou County Prostate Cancer Support Association will hold their Annual General Meeting at 7 P.M. in the United Commercial Travellers building behind Summer Street Industries on Park Street New Glasgow. A short monthly meeting will follow for the election of Directors for the upcoming year. The meeting is open to the public and all are invited to attend.  The building is wheelchair accessible. A social time will follow.
