Prostate cancer suport

The regular monthly meeting of the Pictou County Prostate Cancer Support Association will be held on Thursday September 20 at 7 P.M. in the UCT Building behind Summer Street Ind on Park Street New Glasgow. The public is invited to attend.  The building is wheelchair accessible. A social time will follow.

Home, and one of the guest speakers from the Spring Lunch and Learn sessions, is back to share ideas on making your home an efficient and functional living space.  This event will take place in the Lyon's Brook Hall at 7pm and everybody is welcome! There is no charge for this event.

Music Makes Connections

The Maritime Odd Fellows Home will be hosting “Music Makes Connections” a Pre-School and Odd Fellows Home Resident Music Program at the Home in our community room on beginning on Friday, September 21st  from 10-11am. The bi-monthly program lead by Music Therapist Kelsey Mac Donald & Odd Fellows Home Recreation staff and will include crafts, music and a snack. Parents are required to remain with their child during the program. Space is limited and the program is free of charge.…

Celtic Music at the Mill

The Sutherland Steam Mill Session, Celtic Music at the Mill with the “Dock Gang” will run  7:30pm – 9:30pm. A ‘session’ is an informal gathering of musicians who gather to play traditional Irish, Scottish and other music from the British Isles and beyond.
