Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores is urging the community to celebrate Tourism Week at the upcoming Discover Pictou County Night.
The event, taking place June 1, will run 4-7 p.m. at the Nova Scotia Museum of Industry, Stellarton.
Tourism is everyone’s business. From tourism operators to taxi drivers to bank and gas station staff to servers in eateries to festival volunteers to people outside mowing their lawns; we are all tourism ambassadors and impact this industry which plays a significant role in the well-being of the area’s and province’s economy.
Visit this free tradeshow to learn about what is in your own back yard. Randomly, throughout the evening, prize draws will be made and there will also be a door prize (all provided by tradeshow businesses and events); participants will have to visit each booth and learn something new before you can deposit your ballot. This promises to be a great showcase of the flavours, sights, sounds and unique treasures of Pictou County.
