STELLARTON – Local vendors are encouraged to share their story during Tourism Week.
Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores is celebrating all things tourism at their Discover Pictou County Night on June 1, 4-7 p.m., at the Nova Scotia Museum of Industry. And they want you to be a part of it.
They are inviting local businesses, attractions and communities to share their story with the residents of Pictou County and help spread the word about and promote all there is to see and do as well as the places to stay, eat and shop in Pictou County.
Taxi driver? Business owner? Hospitality industry? Everyone is an ambassador for the communities in which they work, live and play. DEANS is asking you to spend one day during the nation’s tourism week (May 29 – June 4) and reserve a table free of charge to set up your display to promote your property, attraction or festival and event.
Their only request is interested vendors bring a door prize. Randomly, throughout the evening, draws will be made for these prizes with those who attend. To be entered into the door prize, participants will have to visit each booth and learn something new before they can deposit their ballot.
Promotions have already started. Organizers say this promises to be a great showcase of the flavours, sights, sounds and unique treasures of Pictou County.
