FRASERS MOUNTAIN – The pilot of a small plane was taken to hospital this morning after making an emergency landing with his plane.
Pictou District RCMP responded to the scene.
At approximately 8 a.m., the RCMP received a call about a small plane in distress. The caller indicated that a small plane stalled and then landed in a field. There was minor damage to the plane upon landing.
Police located the lone male occupant inside the plane. EHS removed the pilot and transported him to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The RCMP remain on scene and will work with Transportation Safety Board to investigate the matter.
