To the Editor:
Pulse Pictou County would like to thank the community for the interest in our Pints and Politics Municipal Election series. We were pleased to host these sessions to give candidates and residents an opportunity to have conversations about the future of the place we call home.
We thank the many candidates who used this chance to engage with interested citizens, as we held these for their benefit, and thank the residents who attended who became better informed for their upcoming decision this October 15.
We met some wonderful people and received great feedback for these relaxed sessions we volunteered to co-ordinate.
Pulse would also like to show our appreciation for the seven venues across the county who were extremely enthusiastic to host us and their surrounding community, and who value the importance in bringing people together and allowing these conversations to occur. Thanks Merigomish School House, Stellarton Legion, White Tail Pub and Grill, Glasgow Square, Fat Tony’s, Trenton Legion and Caribou Fire Hall for your support.
Pulse Pictou County will continue working toward our goal of promoting positivity here in Pictou County, as well as increasing community engagement, collaboration and connection, especially in the young, working-age people of our area.
Pulse wishes to attract, retain and unite the young people of Pictou County through our four pillars of professional development, community initiatives, athletics and wellness, and social events.
We encourage all residents of Pictou County to move forward and work together, as it is up to every one of us to contribute to the success of the community we share.
