NEW GLASGOW – “I’m giving you, On count of three, To show your stuff, Or let it be …”
Michael Jackson music is the theme of this year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pictou County’s Grafton Street Dinner Theatre.
The annual dinner theatre is taking place November 10 at Summer Street Industries and promises to be an entertaining evening for all.
“This year the premise of the dinner theatre is an off-the-wall talent competition with the music of Michael Jackson,” explains Margie Grant-Walsh, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pictou County.
The annual fundraiser is entering its 16th year and this year is hoped to be even better than last.
“This year we are building on our handbag and scarf silent auction,” she explains. “We are looking to get 100 gently used purses this year.”
The auction features designer handbags as well as gently used handbags and purses and celebrity handbags.
“There’s something for everyone.”
Tickets for the dinner theatre are $57.50 and tables seat eight people, however, large parties can be accommodated. Tickets include the main course, dessert and a glass of wine.
“We are shooting to sell 200 tickets to the dinner theatre this year, although we can accommodate a few more than that.”
Anyone interested in donating a gently used handbag or getting tickets for the event can contact BBBSPC at 902-752-6260. “It’s a really nice evening out.”
