Charges laid after search at Gate Keepers

NEW GLASGOW – Charges have been laid following a police search at the Pictou County Chapter of the Gatekeepers Motorcycle Club on MacLean Street.

As a result of a search warrant executed on July 15 at approximately 6 a.m., Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) with assistance from the New Glasgow Regional Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Stellarton Police Service, Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant and searched the New Glasgow club house.

As a result of the investigation, Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit have charged a 51 year-old man from New Glasgow and a 54 year-old male from Debert   with illegally keeping liquor for sale.  In addition, police have charged a52 year-old male from New Glasgow with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and illegally keeping liquor for sale.

Police continue to investigate the seizure of a prohibited weapon from the site that was seized on July 15, 2017.

The investigation continues.
