NEW GLASGOW – A man was arrested after a quantity of drugs was seized was a local residence.
On Wednesday, April 18 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the New Glasgow Regional Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on Oak Street.
At this time, police seized a quantity of cocaine along with cannabis marijuana, cannabis derivatives, and ammunition. Subsequently, police arrested a 39 year-old male from New Glasgow in connection with this seizure.
The accused has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of cannabis marijuana and derivatives, and failing to comply with conditions of a prohibition order.
He has been released from police custody and will appear in Provincial Court in Pictou at a later date.
