Barricaded man arrested without incident in Onslow Mountain

ONSLOW MOUNTAIN – Police are investigating an incident involving a barricaded man that occurred Sunday morning in Onslow Mountain.

At approximately 4:11 a.m., members with the Colchester District RCMP responded to a report of a 35-year-old male armed with a firearm. The man had barricaded himself at a residence on Onslow Mountain Rd. in Onslow Mountain. With assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, the man was arrested after exiting the residence just after 12:40 p.m. without incident. There were no injuries as a result of the incident or any risk to the public.

The man is currently being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court today to face numerous charges.
