Altercation at pub leads to investigation

An altercation at a Westville pub is what led Westville Police to barricade the entrance on Wednesday.

At approximately 9:33 p.m. on Jaunary 15,  Westville Police were called to the White Tail Pub & Grill on South Main Street in Westville. An altercation had taken place with a 60-year-old male victim receiving serious injury. The victim was transported to the Aberdeen Hospital and later air lifted to Halifax.

Westville Police with assistance of Stellarton Police and the RCMP Major Crime Unit along with the RCMP Forensic Identification Services are conducting the investigation.

The victim remains in hospital and a 43-year-old Westville man was arrested.
