New Glasgow Regional Police have arrested a 30-year-old Stellarton man after a disturbance Thursday morning in Trenton.
Police were called to the Mechanic Street residence at approximately 9 a.m. to deal with the situation and shut the street down for approximately an hour.
The man has been charged with two counts of breach of an undertaking, breach of probation, damage to property, assault with a weapon and forceable confinement.
The accused was remanded into custody and will appear in Provincial Court in Pictou on this morning, March 8.
Const. Ken MacDonald said the incident was isolated and “at no time was public safety in jeopardy.”
MacDonald said the victim suffered minor injuries. Both the accused and the victim were known to each others.
Police continue to investigate.
