Be sure to save your appetite for next week, May 19-25, as the Kinette Burger Bonanza is ready to go with a full smorgasbord of ingredients ready for burger lovers.

With 14 Pictou County food establishments ready to participate in the celebration of food, there are burgers of all kinds.

“Everyone seems really excited for it,” said Megan Hartling of the Kinette Club of New Glasgow.

Hartling shared that excitement for the event is climbing. Since announcing the week-long event, she has even had people stop her on the street to talk about it. With around 350 interested people on Facebook, the Burger Bonanza is proving to be a popular idea.

Harling added that for the Burger Bonanza the Kinettes have created a hashtag for those sampling the burgers to post photos of the burgers or themselves eating the burgers by tagging #KinetteBurgerBonanza.

“I’m just excited to see how excited everyone else is,” said Hartling.

For each burger that is purchased from each of the restaurants for Burger Bonanza, $2 will be donated to the Kinettes to help with the public outreach the service club takes part in.

On the Facebook page for the event (Burger Bonanza!), burger profiles for each of the restaurants have been posted to let everyone know what they can look forward to at each location.
