NEW GLASGOW – Want to be a part of an amazing weekend filled with music? The Riverfront Jubilee is seeking volunteers for the 24th annual festival.

The success of the Jubilee depends on the hard work and dedication of more than 300 volunteers who donate their time to the Jubilee.

“The commitment Pictou County has given to come out and volunteer for the Jubilee is what has kept this event running for 24 years,” explains Janine Linthorne, volunteer director for the Riverfront Jubilee. “We’re looking forward to another successful and entertaining event, but we need individuals who can donate their time to help ensure the event is safe, fun and entertaining for everyone!”

The Riverfront Jubilee is looking for anyone who is 19 and older who can give back to their community by helping the volunteer board of directors run a smooth event for all attending the Jubilee. The Jubilee is run 100 per cent by volunteers. There are various shifts available to fill the main gates, bar, beverage tickets, and late-night stage doors. Shift times, lengths, locations and perks vary over the weekend.

Those who are at least 19 years of age who are interested can fill out the form online at thejubilee.ca/volunteer. Additional information on the late-night stages, Blues Matinee and Carlton’s Community Bash will be released soon.

Tickets for the Riverfront Jubilee main stage are on sale now. Single day tickets for Friday and Saturday are $3 and $70 for VIP, $40 and $80 for VIP on Sunday and weekend passes are $85 and $175 for VIP. Ticket prices are in effect until June 30 at 11:59 p.m.
