SYLVESTER – RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle crash that sent one person to hospital around on Thursday.

The female driver and lone occupant of the compact sedan was heading south in Sylvester between the two ends of the Loch Broom loop around mid-day on Thursday when the car left the right side of the road before coming to rest partly on its side in a deep ditch.

Cst. Rod Doe said the driver sustained undetermined injuries.

“It’s still under investigation,” he said.

Several RCMP vehicles arrived at the scene at about 12:40 p.m. and began to block the road while firefighters and paramedics worked to remove the driver from the vehicle.
