TRENTON — The Pictou County Scotians will host the East Hants Penguins on Sunday in Trenton after two close losses last weekend in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.
The game will start at 6 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for the Scotians to get back in the winning column.
The Antigonish Bulldogs edged the Scotians 2-1 last Friday in Antigonish, while the Cole Harbour Colts nipped the Scotians 4-3 on Sunday in Trenton.
Sebastian Vella, Tyler Long and Ryan MacLellan scored for the Scotians on Sunday. They outshot the Colts 41-39.
Matthew Murray was in the Scotians’ goal.
Connor Aucoin’s goal gave the Scotians a 1-0 lead in the second period of their game in Antigonish, but the Bulldogs tallied twice in the third period to pull out the win.
Shots on goal were 41-16 in favour of the Bulldogs. Murray was in the Scotians’ goal.
The Scotians are in fifth place in the Sid Rowe Division with three points based on one win, two regulation losses and a shootout loss.
