Homan, Gushue leading Tier 1 competitions

NEW GLASGOW – Ahead of its debut in Pictou County, Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling has unveiled the draw schedule for both the Tier I and Tier II teams competing in the 2019 KIOTI Tractor Tour Challenge.

This event is taking place Nov. 5-10 at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.

Defending champion Team Homan (Ottawa) is set to lead the women’s Tier I division, while 11-time Grand Slam winner Team Gushue (St. John’s) will headline the men’s Tier 1 competition.

In the neighbouring rink, Tier II competition will feature a number of local squads, including: Team Arsenault (Halifax), Team Birt (Charlottetown), Team Brothers (Halifax), Team Crawford (Saint John, NB), The KIOTI Tractor Tour Challenge will shine the spotlight on 30 top men’s and 30 elite women’s teams from around the world, with only one men’s and one women’s team from the top 15 in the world not in attendance
