It has recently been announced that North Nova Education Centre will become a Skilled Trades site in the next year or two.
North Nova is thrilled by this news, as it will increase the opportunities we are able to offer our students.
“There is a lot of excitement here at North Nova as a result of the announcement. Skilled Trades has been a program that our school community has hoped for over the past number of years. Our students and community will benefit greatly from this addition.” says acting principal Lia Lewis.
The school has been tasked with deciding what two skilled trade courses will be offered to our students. This is an important decision and NNEC is requesting input from the community and businesses of Pictou County.
They would like to extend an invitation to attend their community meeting. The meeting will be held in the school’s Presentation Centre today, January 20 at 6 p.m. The NNEC community is invited and encouraged to join the conversation.
