NEW GLASGOW – A woman and a man have both been arrested following a lengthy investigation by police.
On Thursday, Feb. 6 at approximately 9:30 p.m. the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the New Glasgow Regional Police and New Glasgow Regional Police K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on MacLean Street, New Glasgow.
Police seized a quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, cocaine and a weapon.
As a result, police arrested a 52 year-old woman from New Glasgow and a 30 year-old man from Truro.
Both have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Both have been released upon strict conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit continue to investigate.
