Pictou District RCMP have arrested a 61-year-old man for impaired driving, following a complaint from another motorist.

On February 8, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Pictou District RCMP responded to a call of a possible impaired driver. The caller told police the driver was driving erratically in Caribou.

Police located the vehicle, stopped it, and noticed signs of impairment on the 61-year-old male driver from New Glasgow. He was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance and driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg%.

He was taken for a breath test and his blood alcohol readings were over three times the legal limit.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on April 13.
