Logan Timmons scored two goals to lead the Pictou County Scotians to a 4-2 victory over the Eskasoni Junior Eagles on Thursday during a Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League game at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.
Timmons opened the scoring, while Jakob Wamboldt increased their lead to 2-0. Timmons’ second goal of the period gave the Scotians a 3-1 lead.
The second period was scoreless, while Sebastian Vella sealed the win late in the third period.
The Scotians are scheduled to visit the Junior Miners in Merbertou on Saturday and host the Cumberland County Blues at 6 p.m. on Sunday in Trenton to conclude their regular season schedule.
Their win snapped a four-game losing streak that allowed the Eagles to pass them into fourth place in the Sid Rowe Division.
The Scotians lost all four games they played in January.
