WESTVILLE — Members of the Westville Boxing Club have gained rewarding experience after taking part in recent boxing cards.

Hunter Naugle, Bohan Pettipas and Xander Martin took home medals from the 2020 Brampton Cup.

Pettipas won a gold medal at the tournament. Naugle took home a silver medal after he advanced to the gold medal match but lost a decision to settle for a silver medal. Martin advanced to the gold medal match and lost a split decision to settle for a silver medal.

Meanwhile, all three boxers were on a recent card in Gagetown, N.B.

Pettipas won a split decision, while Naugle won a unanimous decision.

Martin posted a win when the referee stopped the contest in the third round. He was boxing an opponent who had previously defeated him twice.

“It was a really good experience for Xander,” head coach Aaron Kinch said. “He was out for redemption and he really showed up for it.”
