The Pictou County Weeks Crushers will follow two home games with two road games to end their regular-season schedule in the MHL.
The Crushers will host the Truro Bearcats on Thursday starting at 7 p.m. at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.
They will visit the South Shore Mustangs on Friday and the Yarmouth Mariners on Saturday.
The Crushers lost 6-3 to the Lumberjacks on Tuesday in a game that was postponed due to inclement weather last Thursday.
Craig Ryan scored twice for the Crushers, who trailed 5-1 before goals by Ryan and Jaden Mason drew them to within two goals of the lead. The Lumberjacks scored their sixth goal into an empty net with 27 secondsleft in the third period.
Each team took 35 shots on goal.
All the games are seen as crucial head-to-head affairs for the Crushers in a multi-team battle for playoff positions in the South Division.
The Crushers entered this week in a third-place tie with the Bearcats and trailed the first-place Mariners by six points and the Amherst Ramblers by three points with two games in hand on both teams.
The Crushers split their other scheduled games last week, losing 4-2 on Saturday to the Edmundston Blizzard before thrashing the Grand Falls Rapids 9-1 on Sunday in two road games.
Keenan Gillis and Jaden Mason scored for the Crushers in Edmundston.
Evan Gallant’s three goals led Sunday’s win. Dallas Farrell, Samuel LeBlanc, Jack Morris, Logan Rawlyk, Malcolm MacEachern and Jake Martin also scored.
