PRIESTVILLE – Two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a home invasion.

On March 20 at 9:49 p.m., members of Pictou District RCMP responded to a call of a woman who needed assistance. She told police she had been hit in the head.

When RCMP members arrived on scene, they learned that three to four men wearing masks entered the home and struck its two occupants on the head with a baseball bat. The suspects stole cash and marijuana, then fled the area in a small dark sedan, similar to a Honda Civic. The car fled in the direction of Sherbrooke Road, towards Hwy. 104.

Pictou District RCMP is investigating the incident and is being assisted by RCMP Forensic Identification Technicians to collect evidence at the scene. Police are asking the public for information about the incident.
