That’s a takeout order one driver probably did not anticipate.

An impaired driving charge has been laid following a collision at the McDonald’s Drive-Thru.

On Wednesday, April 8th , at approximately 6:30 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the fast food outlet on East River Road, New Glasgow.

The collision involved a 2009 Hyundai Tucson that collided with a 2014 Dodge Ram truck.

Police have charged a 33-year-old female driver of the Tucson from Pictou County with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

The Tucson was towed from the scene.

Neither driver was injured in the collision.

The accused has been released and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou, at a later date,
