Joy in small acts of kindness in COVID-19

Opinion

To the Editor:

Despite the restrictions imposed because of the COVID pandemic we, in Abercrombie, have noticed small acts of kindness that have brought joy to many people, especially those on the Abercrombie Loop and Viggo Holm Road.

An unknown good Samaritan has placed beautifully painted rocks on doorsteps and alongside mail boxes with short messages of encouragement and goodwill to overcome the stressful situation that we find ourselves in. These colourful rocks are hand painted and are only placed at night without any request for recognition in any way.

These acts of kindness have brought joy to many people and whoever is responsible should know that their acts are very much appreciated by the local community.
