Kenny Paquet is looking to represent Pictou Town Council in the upcoming municipal election.

“I have been a resident of Pictou all my life as I was born and raised in our beautiful town. Furthermore, I am looking to put my roots down even more and run for a position as councillor.”

He notes, “I’ve been fortunate enough to have served the county for the past 30-plus years in law enforcement and had the pleasure to get to know many people.”

In the past, Paquet has been involved in volunteering for many sporting committees including coaching and donating his time in many other aspects behind the curtain.

“I hope you allow me the opportunity to shine a new perspective into the position and hear the input of the members of the community. As politics is a new uncharted area for myself, I am looking forward to working with small town businesses and people to help grow as a whole.

“We have an amazing coastal community with many sites and scenic views that we cherish and appreciate. I am hoping to work with the people of the town and introduce a fresh slate of ideas to help improve our small paradise.”
