SWANTEE (MacIntosh), Anna Isabel – Born May 23, 1927(93), Isabel passed peacefully at her daughter’s home in Aurora, Ontario on Oct 10, 2020. Many thanks to the Palliative Care Team from Southlake Hospital, Newmarket ON that assisted in allowing Isabel her wish to pass at home. Isabel spent her childhood in West Branch, NS. June 1949, she married her husband Levi and moved to Pictou, NS for next 70 years. July 2019, Isabel moved to Ontario to live with her daughter Carol. Isabel worked in the accounting department of National Seafoods and in Stedman’s department store. She was a prolific knitter, a great cook and often samples were provided to her many friends and relatives. Isabel is survived by her two children; daughter, Carol Swantee (Cyrille), Aurora, Ontario and son, Paul Swantee (Theresa), Lawrencetown; her grandchildren; Nicole Harley (Mark), Cole Harbour and Krystal MacNeil (Ryan), Cole Harbour; and her great-grandchildren Aidan and Quinn Harley. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Levi, parents Blanche (Pushee) and James MacIntosh, sister Marion McCara and brother Jack MacIntosh. Isabel will be fondly remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a caring relative, neighbour and friend. She enjoyed her grandchildren looking forward to spending time with them in person or on Facetime. Special thanks to the family members who helped her so much in her later years, she would like to remember her nieces Nancy, Heather, and Lynn for their kindnesses. Isabel has been cremated and there will be no service at this time. Her ashes will remain with her daughter until we are able to return to Nova Scotia. At that time, there will be a family service and we will place her ashes at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester, NS where she will rest beside her husband Levi. Donations in Isabel’s memory can be made to the SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
