Police busy with motor vehicle collisions

On Tuesday (yesterday)  October 20, New Glasgow Regional Police saw a busy day responding to two motor vehicle collisions within the towns of New Glasgow and Trenton.

The first collision occurred at 9:25 a.m., when a Hyundai Accent collided with Honda Civic at the intersection of North Main Street and Trenton Connector, Trenton. The 68-year-old female driver of the Honda sustained non-life threatening injuries. The 20-year-old male driver of the Hyundai Accent was charged with failing to yield the right of way. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene as both vehicles suffered extensive damages.

The second motor vehicle collision occurred at 1:23 p.m., when a Hyundai Accent collied with a Ford Fusion on Stellarton Road near the intersection of George Street, New Glasgow. No injuries were reported and damage was only minor to both vehicles.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
